SUBJECT: THURSDAY NIGHT ACTPâś“ITIES RULES UPDATE
CAO RECOMMENDATION
Accept recommendation of TNA committee to revise rules.
DISCUSSION
The Downtown Association Thursday Night Activity Committee has determined that rule changes are
necessary to more accurately reflect the needs of participants on the market. The following changes have
been approved by the committee:
Change: Part 15. MEMBER B A RRUG1 TER TO MEMBER BARBECUES AND FOOD VENDORS.
Change:. Part 15. Section D. Food iteffis must be the same type as afe seld on the daib,faefm changed to
Food items should be the same type as sold on the daily menu.
Change: Part 15. Section F.
PM to Barbecues are not to be started in an assigned street space until after 4:30 PM.
(Committee member Steve Gihreath stated that if barbecuers could light their fires earlier,it would give
them more time to create a hot fire; this in tum would cause less smoke when the fire was knocked down.]
CONCURRENCES
The Downtown Association Board of Directors unanimously approved this item at its 9 February, 1999,
monthly meeting.
