SUBJECT: Appointment Recommendations to the Mass Transportation Committee
RECOMMENDATION
Reappoint Dr. Walter Rice as technical representative for one year to expire 3/31/01, and appoint
Sonja Wadman as student representative for a three-year term to expire 3/31/03.
DISCUSSION
Two terms will expire 3/31/00. Upon advertising and interviewing candidates, the Council
Subcommittee is pleased to make the recommendations as listed above. Nominee applications
are attached. All others are available in the City Clerk's Office for review.

I served on the Mass Transit Committee since its inception in 1971 except for this past
year. My interest in transportation is lifelong and this factor coupled with academic
training, transportation consulting, and professional activities including Cal Trans Division
of Rail makes me qualified to make a substantial contribution to the continuing development
and operation of SLO Transit.
