1 THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is made and entered in the City of San Luis Obispo on
1 4"4s240by and between the CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, a municipal corporation,herein afte r
referred to as City, and Larry Walker Associates, Inc ., hereinafter referred to as Contractor .
WITNESSETH :
WHEREAS, on May 6 2005, the City entered into an Agreement with Contractor for Feasibility Analysis o f
Regulatory Options ; an d
WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the scope of services to include the Review and Commenting on th e
Proposed San Luis Obispo Creek Totoal Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for Nitrate - N and Contractor ha s
submitted a proposal for this purpose that is acceptable to the City .
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual promises, obligations and covenants hereinafte r
contained, the parties hereto agree as follows :
1.The scope of services and related compensation is hereby amended as set forth in Exhibit A
attached hereto .
2.All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect .

Scope of Work for Reviewing and Commenting on the Proposed San Luis Obisp o
Creek TMDL for Nitrate-N.
Dear Mr. Hix:
In response to your request for a scope of work to review and provide comments on th e
proposed San Luis Obispo Creek TMDL for Nitrate-N, Larry Walker Associates, Inc .
(LWA)is providing a scope of LWA services, schedule, and cost estimate .
SCOPE OF LWA SERVICE S
LWA tasks anticipated under these projects are as follows :
Task 1 : Review and comment on documents pertaining to SLO Creek Nitrate-N TMD L
provided on the Regional Board website . Conduct in-depth review of loadin g
calculations if it is determined that review and comment on data and methods o f
calculation are necessary based on the review of the TMDL documents . Submit
Draft comment letter to City for review.
Task 2: Conduct a conference call with City Staff.
Task 3 : Revise the comment letter to incorporate City Staff comments and submit fina l
draft to City.
LWA SCHEDUL E
Comments on the SLO Creek Nitrate-N TMDL are due to the Regional Board by July 28 ,
2005 as presented in the Public Notice . The following table outlines the schedule fo r
completing the corresponding task or tasks .

LWA COST ESTIMAT E
The estimated cost for the review of SLO Creek Nitrate-N TMDL documents are $7,100 a s
detailed in the following table . If it is determined necessary to conduct in-depth review o f
loading calculations the cost for review would require an additional 24 Project Enginee r
hours increasing the total cost by $3,360 .
