CAO RECOMMENDATION
Cancel the Regular City Council Meeting of Tuesday, August 7, 2001.
DISCUSSION
Since 1994 it has been the practice of the City Council to cancel the first regular meeting in the
month of August. This custom allows the Council and staff members to plan summer vacations.
Staff recommends that the Council let tradition stand and cancel the August 7' meeting. The
Council will, therefore, hold one regular meeting during the month of August and that date is
Tuesday, August 215`
