COUNCIL MEETING
CAO RECOMMENDATION
Cancel the Regular City Council Meeting of Tuesday, August 6, 2002.
DISCUSSION
Since 1994 it has been the practice of the City Council to cancel the first regular meeting in the
month of August. This custom allows the Council and staff members to plan summer vacations.
Staff recommends that the Council let tradition stand and cancel the August 6, 2002 meeting.
A special meeting during the fourth week of July could be called if staff anticipates the need for
Council to act or provide input on matters prior to the next Regular Council Meeting on August
20"'.
