SUBJECT: SINSBEIMER PARK PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS
Specification No. 99699
CAO RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Approve plans and specifications for "Sinsheimer Park Parking Lot Improvements,
Specification No. 99699".
2. Authorize staff to solicit bids.
3. Authorize the City Administrative Officer to award a contract if the lowest responsible bid is
within the engineer's estimate.
DISCUSSION
In 1997 the Sinsheimer Park Master Plan was approved. Phase 1, Baseball Stadium
Improvements, have been completed. This project is for Phase 2, Parking Lot Improvements.
Phase 2 improvements include; making minor changes to the parking curbs to add more spaces,
adding a drop off area for the park and ball field areas, pavement improvements, adding parking
lot lighting and associated landscape improvements.
CONCURRENCES
The Park and Recreation Commission have endorsed this project.
The Community Development Director has determined this project Categorically Exempt.
FISCAL IMPACT
Engineer's Estimate $51,500
Contingencies at 10 Percent 5,100
Total $56,600
Park Master Planfunds available $39,600
Park Asphalt Sealing funds available $17,000
Budget Available $56,600
This budget available was appropriated in the 1997-1999 Financial Plan (page E-9 of the
Financial Plan and page 161 of Appendix B to the Financial Plan) Sinsheimer Master Plan and in
the 1999-2001 Financial Plan (page E-12 of the Financial Plan and page 333 of Appendix B to
the Financial Plan)Parks Asphalt Sealing..
