In accordance with City requirements, those detection loops will be replaced with video detection cameras as appropriate. These are typically purchased and installed by Public Works Maintenance prior to the start of the contract work. Recent increases in oil prices may increase prices of asphalt. If bids come in over the engineer's estimate, staff will reduce the number of streets to be paved in order to be within budget.
