SUBJECT: SCHEDULE FOR ADOPTING REVISED ELEMENTS &
OTHER CITY PLANNING DOCUMENTS
CAO RECONIM 44DATION: Consider and ratify the attached schedule, or provide
direction to staff for change, as appropriate.
DISCUSSION:
The attached schedule was developed at the request of Council,.and includes additional items to
the list which was previously distributed to you on April 2, 1993.
The last item on the list, Community/Senior Center Facility Survey, was scheduled for the Parks
and Recreation Commission (PRC)April 7 meeting. Unfortunately, they were unable to consider
that item and continued the matter to a meeting scheduled May 5. Delineation of further
processing and time schedules will occur following that meeting. I anticipate that the next steps
will be to bring the PRC recommendation to the Council for acceptance, and then incorporate
that decision into the update of the General Plan Parks and Recreation Element which is
anticipated to begin in 1994.
The scheduling of processing for the various components included in the schedule has been as
specific and "tight" as possible, considering the uncertainty of some parts of the process.
Consequently, certain conservative assumptions were made as included in the notes at the foot
of the schedule. Variance from these assumptions in schedule execution, such as requiring more.
or fewer public meetings at any particular level, willdirectly affect compliance with the
schedule.
