SUBJECT: SCHEDULE FOR REVIEW AND ADOPTION OF 1993-95 FINANCIAL
PLAN
CAO RECOMMENDATION
Receive and approve the final schedule for Council review and adoption of the 1993-95
Financial Plan.
DISCUSSION
I
The City's adopted financial plan policies require that a balanced budget be adopted prior
to the beginning of each fiscal year. The preliminary schedule for adoption outlined during
the March 13, 1993 Workshop has been refined. The following schedule is being
recommended to allow the Council time for review and discussion of the Draft Capital
Improvement Plan and other issues related to the Preliminary 1993-95 Financial Plan.
■ Draft Capital Improvement Plan and
Preliminary 1993-95 Financial Plan to Council May 25, 1993
■ Study Session June 2, 1993
■ Public Hearing June 8, 1993 and
June 9, 1993 (if needed)
■ Adoption of 1993-95 Financial Plan June 15, 1993

Distribution of the Draft Capital Improvement Plan and Preliminary 1993-95 Financial Plan
by May 25, 1993 will enable the Council and public to have an adequate period of time to
review the contents of the documents prior to the public hearings. At the initial study
session on June 2, 1993, staff will provide an orientation to the documents organization, an
overview of key financial plan highlights, and follow-up information on certain issues raised
by Council at the March 13, 1993 Workshop. Adoption of the Financial Plan has been
scheduled for.the Council Meeting on June 15, 1993.
