SUBJECT: Appointment Recommendation to the
Architectural Review Commission
RECOMMENDATION:
By motion, appoint Geneva Dingus to fill an unexpired term to begin June 1, 1993 and end .
on March 31, 1996.
The Subcommittee would also request the Council to formally thank Mr. Bruce Sievertson
for serving the City and the Architectural Review Commission.
DISCUSSION:
This vacancy was created by the resignation of Mr. Sievertson, effective.June 1, 1993.
O During the annual advisory body interview/appointment process this year,several applicants
were interviewed. In anticipation of upcoming vacancies, the Council Subcommittee .
identified alternate appointees at that time, and is pleased to recommend Geneva Dingas
to serve on the ARC.
Ms. Dingas' application is attached for your review.

I.have.been privileged to live in San.Luis Obispo and to raise my family here,benefitting
from all the positive attributes afforded me by those residents willing to serve this
community. As a local business person and a caring resident who has owned two homes
in the city,I have been able to participate in several building and remodelling projects. As
a result of this experience I have developed a keen interest in building projects in the city
of San Luis Obispo. At this point in my life I feel a desire to become more involved with
community services and would like very much to be able to donate my time and service
to the city which has provided so much for me and my family over the past nineteen years.
To be able to expand my interest in building at the same time asgiving to the community
would be an ideal situation for me and also would be of benefit to the community. J%
Currently I am in the position to offer my time and my service in a commitment to the
city and I seek to contribute expertise gained from a rich educational and business
background Please consider my application for a role with either the Planning
Commission,my first choice,or.with the Architectural Review Commission,a very good
second choice.
