AGENDA REPORT ITEM NUMBER:&�— FROM: 7t en Hampian, Assistant City Administrative Officer SUBJECT: Mass Transportation Committee Appointments CAO RECOMMENDATION: Complete appointments to the Mass Transportation Committee, as recommended. DISCUSSION: The Mass Transportation Committee (MTC) has seven members and consists of (a) one person from Cal Poly; (b) one senior citizen; (c) one person from the business community; (d) one person with technical transportation planning experience; (e) one person representing the disabled community; (f) one person from the general public; and (g) a representative from the HRC. Four vacancies currently exist on this committee. It is recommended that the Council make the following appointments to these vacancies for terms as shown: Vacancy Appointment Term Disabled Representative Kenneth McKracken to 3/31/93 (reappointment) Business Representative Rhonda Kaywood to 3/31/94 BIA Administrator (new appointment) Technical Representative Karl Hovanitz to 3/31/93 (reappointment) HRC Representative HRC designee* to 3/31/94 (new appointment) *HRC has postponed appointment to the MTC on several occasions, pending attendance at a meeting by all commissioners. It is recommended that Council approve prospectively the HRC representative with the specific committee member to be named at a later time by the HRC.
