SUBJECT: COMMUNICATION ITEM - MEETING OF MAY 15, 1990
RE-EXAMINATION OF COST OF APPEALS TO CITY COUNCIL
I believe that the City Council may be spending more of its valuable time than desirable
in hearing various appeals. Our present system of free appeals tends to encourage their
use, including many that probably should not be appealed.
I am suggesting that the Council ask staff to look into this matter and give their analysis
of the situation and a recommendation.
