SUBJECT: CAMPAIGN REGULATIONS COMMITTEE
At its meeting of June 6, 1990, Council formed a subcommittee comprised of Mayor Dunin
and Councilwoman Rappa to recommend appointments to the Campaign Regulations
Committee. As required by the current election ordinance, this is a five member committee
which will sunset upon Council adoption of the revised Election Regulations ordinance.
After review and discussion, the Council Subcommittee recommends the following
appointments to the Campaign Regulations Committee:
Sally Punches
GlennaDeane Dovey
Roger Picquet
John French
Joan Leon
The charge of the committee will be to review the current ordinance and report its findings
and recommendation to the City Council. The provisions of Propositions 68 and 73 need
to be incorporated into the ordinance as well as general review of threshold campaign
disclosure requirements. The City Clerk and City Attorney will serve as staff.

APPOINTMENT - ITEM #C-1Q, JiJI.Y 17, 1990
We have learned that Joan Leon,previously recommended for appointment to the Election
Regulations Committee to be confirmed at tonight's meeting, will be out of town and,
therefore, unable to serve on the committee.
In Ms. Leon's place, we would like to recommend the appointment of Dodie Williams to
the committee.
