DISCUSSION: This project was included in the City's Capital Improvement Program during the 1987-89 fiscal planning cycle when confirmation was received from the State Historical Restoration Division that they would assist with a partial grant funding after reviewing the proposed plans. Approximately 26 months after submittal, the City received State approval of the plans and the project was submitted to the CHC and ARC for their consideration. Project confirmation was received from both of these advisory bodies. Staff recommends approval of plans, soliciting of bids and award of contract at this time so that the project can be completed during the season of low use at the Jack House grounds.
