CALL TO ORDER: Chair Jill Lemieux called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Parks & Recreation Commission: Rick May, Craig Kincaid, Kylie Hatch, Gary Havas, Ron
Regier and Vice Chair David Hensinger
Jack House Committee: Patrick Mayeda and Chair Ron Batterson
Joint Use of Recreation Facilities Committee: Terry Conner, Vice Chair Colin Jones and
Chair Michael Parolini
ABSENT: Betty Stockton, Kathi Settle, Bob Gordon, Gerry Johnson, Nancy
Cochran
STAFF: Betsy Kiser, Shannon Bates, Linda Fitzgerald, Marti Reynolds,
Ashley Lopez, Doug Carscaden, Neil Havlik and Barbara Lynch
1. TOUR OF FACILITIES
The three commissions under the Parks and Recreation Department toured facilities that
have or will be undergoing projects within their jurisdiction. Other facilities on the tour
which commenced at Laguna Lake Golf Course, included Laguna Lake Disc Golf area,
Eto Park, the Jack House, Public Art in the downtown area, Meadow Park (slacklining
demonstration), French Park Playground, Damon Garcia Sports Field, Bob Jones
Bikepath and Ranger Facility, and Johnson Ranch.
2. ADJOURNMENT
Meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m. to the August 6, 2008, Parks and Recreation Commission
meeting, the August 13, 2008, Jack House Meeting and the August 26, 2008, Joint Use
Committee Meeting.
