Council met in special session at 6&11 of the Mayor as set forth in the following call,-to wit: To the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, and to the members thereof: I the undersigned Layor of the City of San Luis Obispo, do hereby call a special meeting of the Council of said City, to be held at the City Hall of said City on Tuesday, June 30th, 1914 at 8 o'clock P.M., for the following purpose to wit: To finally pass and adopt Ordinance No. 38 (New Series). _ II�,y�rOlsr�. Hill, Geo., H..Andrews, Dick Sanders. Mayor. T.A. Norton. Absent None. Minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with, the same to be read at the next regular meeting. Communication of E.A. B1ix:Feldt offering to make Platte of the City for the sum od $100 per each sheet. IM It was ordered that the same be placed on file. Application of L.J. Application of Southern Pacific R.R. Co, for license to lay grater pipe near Hathaway Statione The same was -,ordered placed on file. Bids for the Construction of Reinforced Concrete Girder Bridge on Nipoma Street, in this City were read as follows: Mesmer & Rice, Jos Angeles, Calif �59515.Oo W.L. Also the Alternate Proposal of Harlan Ce King, not being regular was not considered. Moved by A. Luchessa seconded by Dick Banders that the Bid of the Boardman Construction Company ber accepted, the same being the lowest and best bide Also that•the Clerk be instructed to return certified checks of the unsuccessful bidders. Motion carried by the following vote. Ayes: As Luchessa; J.C. Hill, Geo, H. Andrews, Dick Sanderso boas a l ?ni)Aea. Absent: None. LIT, Enos appears before the Council in behald of the Modern Woodmen of America offering to donate to the City a arch light with words " Welcome City of San Luis Obispo" the same to be put any place on some main corner that the Council might suggest, the same to be kept up by the Citye Moved by Geo. Norton appears before the Council asking that the Council Chambers be used as a polling plaoe,,for the Primary Election to be held on August 25th, 19140 Permission was granted.
