Andrews that the same be approved as read.1iotion carried and so oraeredq Applications for building permits were -read as follows: A. L. Anderson - Lot 2, Block 5, Garage= Probable cost SrMoOO Alice A. Truesdale= bot 5- Block 33 - " 100000 Adelia M. Gregg - Block 10 17all " " 1000000 Raymond P. Howell s LOt 3, Block 54 Barh " " 100000 On motion of J1.0. Hill seconded by Geo. H..Andrews, that the - foregoing application for building permits be granted. Motion carried an,- so ordered. Application of Jas. J. Laino to move frame building from Lot 5, Block 28 to Lot 1, Block 27, read. Moved by J.C. Hill seconded by Geo. H. Andrews that the same be granted. Hotiln. carried. Yager et al asking that the Council take some action in the matter of making the sidewalks on Broad Street south of Islay Street, and that in the mean time that the property - owners and City co- operate and gravel said sidewalks making safe passable and the signature of each petitioner giving opposite his respedtive name the amount willing to donate for the graveling off said walks. Mr. J. Ke Burnett appeared beforei -the Council in behalf of the Petitioners in the above matter asking that'the Council take some immediate action in the same. The natter was discussed and the petition ordered placed on file and on motion of J. C. Hill seconded by Geo. H. Andrews the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works and the City Attorney for investigation. Er. A. F. Yager appeared before the Council asking that dome action be taken, regarding the overflow from storm waters on his glace on Broad Street. The matter was referred to the Commissioner of Public Corks and the Street Superintendente and mrs B.F. Harrison appeared beofre the Council regarding petition on file for the opening of Murray Street between Grand Avenue and H2thauay Avenue. They were advised that the matter had not been thoroughly investigated and that they would be advised at a later date what action would be taken. CI 0 r
