Section 14 The offices of Engineer,.8treet Superintendent eudSuperintend- ent of the City Water works are hereby consolidated. The functions and duties of of the Street Superintendent and-Superintendent of the City Waterworks and of the Engineer are hereby liaced incharge of the Street Superintendent. Section 2. The Street Superintendent ahall have charge of the waterworks Of the City of San Luis Obispo, and all property pertaining thereto. He shall have charge of all Public Streets, alleys,avenues, ways, places or boulevards within the City and shall supervise.the erection, construction and repair of all structures nowupon the same or hereafter_to be_ereeted thereon, and all cellars, vaults, conduits, pipes or. tubes now.under the same or hereafter to be constructed or placed thereunder. He shall perform such other.duties as shall be assigned to h him by redinances or by ditection of the Council He shall act under the direct- ion and control of the Commissioner of Public Works.
