Statistical Report of the California State Board of Agri-
culture, was presented to each Council, from the Chamber of Com-
merce, a copy of Irvine's Dictionary of Titles was also presented
to the Council, compliments of Leigh H. Irvine.
A co*- mTnnication from the Chamber of Commerce was read, in-
quiring the reason for the delay on side -walk opposite the Mission:,
the matter of the work is in the hands of the-Com. of Putii-CcWorks
and Supt of Streets, who will attend to the matter as soon as POs-

tions for October was read. It was moved by Com. Banders and seconded
by Com. Sinsheimer that the report be accepted. Carried.

Mr Merrifield and Zr Murray appeared before the Council to in-
quire if theCSnncil intended to widen Monterey street North of Toro st.
Com. Of Public Works Sinsheimer explained the matter and the ::_;.-
manner -in which the Council intends to to the desired work as soon as
it is
practicable, that the gentlemen could proceed with what ever im-
provements they desired to do on their property.
