Regular meeting City Council called to order by Mayor Stover.
Roll Call: Present, Councilmen Dick Sanders; H.A.Gowmaz; Geo. H.Andretias;
and Hayor Stover. Absent, T..F.Sinsheimer.

Application of r ".R.Lavirence for permit to build a Chicken house on part of
Lot 2 Block. 42 - `,good construction- Cost 50.00
Application of I,Irs. Clara Sauer for permit to lay Stone Curbing for a distance
of 100 ft.on east side of ldarsh St. lot 1 Blocs_ 97.
On motion duly seconded the permits re_•e granted.
On motion of seconded by Geo.I.Andrews the report of sound Master
Chas. Bowden .•ias received and placed on file.
I.Ir.Gratz of the A.L.Young Idachinery Co. submitted a proposition to the Council
in re Road Roller ; he also addressed the Council at length on the subject.
Lr French of the Austin, Vvestern Roads Irachinery Co. addressedthe Council
and also submitted a proposition in re Road ''.ollers. The question havine• been
discussed at length on motion of H._.Go,.vman seconded by Dick Sanders the matter
to be taken under advisement ann to be taken up by the Council as a whole.
The matter of unsatisfactory Gas was again taken up. The City Attorney

submitted resolution in re same that the bills presented to the City and
inhabitants thereof for Gas furnished during the month of February 1916` :be allowed
at the rate of 801- of the rate fixed by said Ordinance.
The Resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes,Dick. Sanders;
�.A.Gomrrnan; L.F.Sinsheimer; Geo.H.Andrei';S and :;.L.Stover. Noes; I1one; absent; Bone.
The matterof the City :aorkin in conjunction �tiith'-the County in re State

Communication from Chas.L.roulsen in re permission to install insulated
lighting plant in rear of E! I:onterey Theatre.The plant to consist of a distillate
engine and generators for the purpose of furnishing electricity for running a moving

1 the matter was referred to the Com. of Public Health and Safety for thorough
investigation. t;a. ?oulsen to furnish names of property owners in the vicinity as
to their willingness to have such plant installed.

The matter of 1%lonterey St. sidewalk opposite the Llission was referred to Com.
Sinsheimer for a report at next meeting.
The matter of fixing rates for Gas -as required by law was left to Con- nissioners
L.F.Sinsheimmer and Geo.HAndrews.
On motion of L.F.Sinsheimer seconded by r.A.Gowman the City Clerk was directed
to communicate with the Railroad Commission to ascertain the status of the
Santis. -aria. Gas Co.
On motion of L. F.Sinsheimer seconded by H. _.Go,m.an the meeting adjourned. to I;londay
