San Luis Obispo, June 12th. 1916.
To the I,iayor and City Co-ancil :-
The matter of the settlement for
Firc Apparatus left to me for report and to outline a plan of payment
for same, I beg to suggest the following:
 V
_ First that the City Council create a "Sinking Fund" to be
known as the "rater Sinking Fund ".
Second, that they transfer from
the "W ter Fund" to the "L;at-
er Sinking Fand" the sum of P" 10,300.00
Third, that they transfer from the "',Dater Sink: ng Fund" to
the "General PUnd" the sum of r 10,300.00
Fourth, that they then authorize the issuance of a ,,arrant
on the " General ^und" in the sum of tiY95B0.00, in favor of the Sea-
grave Company, to pay for the Fire Engine as per contract ,-:ith the
:ea,rave Company.
Fifth, that the balance be left in the "General Fund" to
apply on fire hose and other accessories for the Fire DePartment.
I also recommend that to secure the "i ater Sin1:ing Fund "that
the Bonds authorized b$ the Bond Election for Fire :.pparattis, be is-
sued 1
' and placed in said Fund.
Yours Respectfully,
Dick Sanders,
Commissioner of Finance and Revenue.
