City Hall, Tuesday, Sept 5th 19169 7 :30 P.M, Regular meeting City Council called to order, by Mayor Stover. Roll Call: Present, Coma.Dick Sanders, H.A.Gowman, L.F.Sinsheimer , Geo. H.Andrews and Mayor Stover, Absent: None. The minutes of Aug. 2lst,28th,and Sent 1st, approved as read. Report of City Collector read. It was moved by H.A.Gowman and seconded. by Dick Sanders that the report be received and ?laced on file. The Notion carried. It was moved by Dick Sanders and seconded b�T H.A.Gowman that Ordinance No. 58 ( New Series ) ,fixing the Tax Rate for the year 1916 -1917 be finally passed. Roll Call: Ayes, Dick Sanders, H.A.Gowman06F.LI.Stover. Noes: L.F.Sinsheimer and Geo. H.Andrews. Reading of demands against the various City Funds next in order. It was moved by Geo. H. Andrews and seconded by H.A.Gowmahthat two 1 4 w Dump Flagons be purchased at 6 100.00 each. The. motion carried. It was moved by Geo H. Andrews and seconded by L.F.Sinsheimer that all bills except Gas bill be paid. Lotion carried. Gas Tests for the month of August as read by Lr. Payton, were far below standard all month. Moved. by Geo. H.Andrews and seconded by L.F.Sinsheimer that Gas bill of 5.10 be paid to City Collector ; Hr Payton paying his portion $ 1.10 and the City s 1.00 The motion carried, The Commissioner of Public Health and Safety was instructed that it is the sense of the Council , that licenses of Tsars. Shafer ,.restaurant; Mrs Chapin, Lodging House; N. Troy, Pdonumental Works, and AIr. 0 ' Dell for Feed and Sale Stable be collected without delay. It was also the sense of the Council that work would proceed under the Street Improvement Act , if the property owners on Monterey St.,opposite Mission , do not commence laying bidewalk of their own accord immediately.
