Adjourned meeting of City Council called to order by Mayor Stover, Roll Call: Present:'H.A.4owman, L.F.Sinsheimer, Geo.H.Andrews, d.M.Stover. Absent: Dick Sanders. Building per mits presented as follows: F.L.Smith, part of block 61, addition to dwelling, cost $100,00 I1.0'Leary and L.Stover, lot 13 , block 22, office to 200.00, Moved by Geo.H.Andrews and seconddd by L.F.Sinsheimer that the building permits be granted. Carried. Ahl:Luis presented application for sewer connection on Chorro street, between Palm and Mill streets, this-being-_-.a private: :sewer and -hav- ing as many drains on it now as it would permit, it was moved by L.F.Sin- sheimer and seconded by Geo.H.Andrewe that the application be rejeeted. Carried. It was moved by H.A.Gowman.and seconded by Geo.H.Andrews that the transfer of Rowan and Van Proyen to Harry Roman be granted.Carried. Mr I Powell appeared before the Council in behalf of Mrs L.C. Powell in re Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company setting poles in a position that would be detrimental to the lady's property. Mr D. Man- ning-of-the Telephone Bompany was called and stated that the poles would be set to the satisfaction of the parties interested, that he was not aware of any dissatisfaction. Mr I.I.Alveras of the local lodger. of the U.P.P.E.C. appeared before the Council and requested that the. City of San Luis Obispo invite Y the Grand Lodge of the U.P:.P.E.C, to hold their next Grand Convention in this City. Resolution No. 72 (new series) in re- inviting the Grand Lodge U.P.P.E.C, was presented and read, moved by L.F.Sinsheimer and seconded ... the adoption of above resolution. Roll Call: Ayes: H.A.Gowman, L.Y.Sinsheimer, Geo.H.Andrews, W.M.Stover. hoes: None. Absent: Dick Sanders. Mr Alveras thanked the Council: -. I:ir F.iallace appeared ._before.the.Council.in.re matter of license of M,r Levy, automobile agent of.Los Angeles,. after.Mr Wallace had explained the matter is,was found that the license held by Mr Wal- lace covered the agency held by Mr Levy, MrL.A. Enos appeared before the Council in re age of admis- Sinn to pool - rooms, under proposed new license ordinance. Discussionp no action taken. MR Zeorzetto was called before the Board and was informed that Police Officer Sanders had reported that +"r Zeorzetto had permitted gam- bling at his place of business. Mr Zeorzetto was requested to secure counsel and appear before the Board on Thursday, 8 P.S. Sept. 28th. Officer Brewer reported that B.Eslick had aglin violated or- dinance No.48. City Attorney Gibbons,was directed to serve notice on B.Eslick and witnesses to appear before the Board Thursday,@ P.M. Sept. 28th. 275 276'. The matter of conduct at the residence of Mrs Skeet was referred. to Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, to make full investigation and.report,upon motion of L.F.Sinsheimer and second of Geo.H.Andrews. Carried. 15 Geo.H.Andrews stated that he and his brother David Andrews Qwished to, under certain provisions, turn over private seder on Chor- ro street.betwb en.,Palm and Mill streets.to the City. City Attorney s vim. t was instru @ed to draw up necessary papers for the transfer. The matter of grade on Leff street between Morro and Chorro streets was referred to Commissioner of Publie V orks, to „get in shape and present to Council$ upon motion of Geo.H.Andrews, second H.A. Gow- man. Carried. The quarterly licneses presented to.Council was.lied over for the proper investigation. Upon motion of L.F.Sinsheimer seconded by Geo.H.Andrews,the mat - ter of soot nuisance was referred to Commissioner of Public Works and Chief of Police. Moved by L.F.Sinsheimer seconded by H.A.Gowman to adjourn to Thurs- day,. Sept.28th. 7;30 P.M. Roll Call: Ayes: H.A.Gowman, L.F.Sinsheimer, Geo.H.Andrews, W.M. Stover. Noes: None.
