Absent, Commissioner L.F,Sinsheimer who came in after roll Call:
Communication from -J.R. Hall, Forest Supervisor, thankingthe Council for
appropriating the sum of 4 150.00to be used by the Forest Service during the year 1917
in protecting and patrolling the National Forest in proximity to the City of.San Luis Obispo.
The letter was ordered on file.
The report of the City Treasurer for-the month of March 1917 was received and
ordered filed on motion of H.A.Gowman seconded by Geo. H. Andrews.
Mrs. Laura V. Fletcher asked for permit to repair residence in Block 53 lot 4,
l said residence having been recently partially destroyed by fire. The cost to be 1000.00
On motion of Geo.. H. Andrews seconded by H.A.Gowman the same was granted.

Application received from C.ds Barnes for permit to remove a house from Lot 7 Block 109
to Lot 13 Block 201 A; also a building.permit for repairs to said house in the Bull of
p 1000.00. On motion of Dick Sanders seconded by H.A.Gowman the same was granted.
The Associated Oil Co. asked permission to construct 2 -- 20 ft. concrete driveways
across the sidewalk on the east side of Higuera St,.at °.he junction of Higuerp. and.
"rah St. Block 120 Reeds Addition, the same being entrance to the proposed Associated
Oil Cole Service Station.
Application of Max King for permit to place 45 ft. cement curbing and.-gutter on the
east side of Higuera St. between Johnson and Essex St.Lot 9 Block 9 Central Addition.
The above petitions were granted on motion of Dick Sabders seconded by H.A.Gowman.
An application was presented by Frank Hampton for a Restaurant.license.
On motion of Dick Sanders seconded by..Geo. H. Andreas the same wes.laid over for investigation.
The petition of Blaz Bosnjak for a transfer of his licenses for Cigars as sideline
and Soft drinks to F.L.Sign and J.D.Clark ,which was laid over= at.th.e last meeting for
investigation was granted on motion of H.A.Gowman seconded by Dick Sanders..
The applications of J.E. Price and J.D.Clark for Taxicab licenses which were referred
from a previous meeting were granted on motion of H.A.Gowman seconded by Dick Sanders,
while the application of C.K. Inao, Jap, for a lodging house license was laid over for
further investigation.
The applications of Domongos.Rosa and C1ara.Orr for lodging House ,:Dante Chiesa
for Taxicab and Mrs. M,M. Stephens for Restaurant Liquor which were referred for
investigation were granted on motion of H.A.Gowman seconded.by Dick Sanders.
On motion of H.A.Gowman seconded by Geo. H.Andrews the application of Frank Hampton
for lodging house license was denied.
The petition of A.G.Simae for permit to place a barber Pole on Monterey Stain front
of the St .James Hotel , which was referred from a previous meeting was again,brought up.
It was moved by H.A.Gowman and seconded by Dick Sanders that the same be granted.

Application received from.C.H.Kamm for permit for a drive way.20 feet wide over
the sidewalk.to Street line over curb, on -the suuth side of Lonterey St between Osos
and Santa Rosa St.
It was moved by.L.F,Sinsheimer and seconded by Dick Sanders that the same be
granted V The work to be done to the satisfaction of the Street Superintendent.
A claim was presented by C.L.Curtis for ,34.83,.. The claimant alleging that
he was injured by being thrown from a wagon into an open ditch at Broad St and Frances Ave.
and requests the City to pay him for time lost from his regagle.r work on account of
injuries received.
On motion of L.F.Sinsheimer seconded by Diek.Saziders the matter was referred to the
City Attorney..for investigation ' and -report,
There was discussion in regard to a general Clean Up Day .
The City Attorney was instructed , to prepare. "-the legal form of the Sever .Bonds voted
at the recent election and present same at next meeting of the Council.
Q - The City Attorney.wes.also directed to prepare the petitions in legal form..to be
6 circulated for signatures requesting the Council to order an- election submitting tm the
f� voters the proposition of voting bonds for acquiring the property known as the City Farm "..
