F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, Mayor Stover. Absent, None. The following applications for permits to build were received: ez C. A. Bundy, Lots 10 - 12 dock 4 Weills Addn, a shed, cost $20.00 C. 0. Dyer, Lot 7 Block 134, Residence, wood, cost 750.00 On motion of John Chapek seconded by H. B. Kirtland the applications were granted. Application received from J. %I. Litchell for a Restaurant license. On ;notion of H. B. Kirtland, seconded by L. F. Sinsheirner the same was.referred to the:Qommissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation. Application of J. W. Chandler for Taxicab received. On motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer the application was referred to Commissioner Goviman for investigation• The application of C. i. Lowe for Taxicab license which was referred at a previous meeting for investigation was granted upon motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. B. Kirtland. Petition received from P. Pedrizetti and V. Luisi for a transfer of the Restaurant license held by them to P. Pedrizetti and John Pedrizetti. On motion of L. F. Sinsheimer seconded by H. B'. Kirtland the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for the usual investigation. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of June was ordered re- ceived and filed on motion of H. A. Goviman seconded by H. B. Kirtland. Report of Pound Master for the months of I:lay and June received. On motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer, the same ordered received and filed. The claim of P. A. H.Arata in the amount of $'25.00 which was held out at the last meeting for investigation was ordered paid on motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek. The report of the Chamber of Commerce relative to a new and up to date lighting system for the City of San Luis Obispo was received and read. The I matter was discussed at length. It was suggested by the Mayor that tentative bids be called for - if none were received that he would stand expense of advertising. It was moved by H. B. Kirtland and seconded by report be received and placed on file; that thanks to the members of the Committee for the suggestions It was decided that the members of the Council Attorney at his office, at 5 P. 11. The.matter of placing a Fire alarm bop and a water hydrant in the Terrace Hill district was again mentioned but no action taken. Commissioner Cowman was of the opinion that a hydrant should be placed in that district. It was moved by H. Ems. Cowman and seconded by H.. B. Kirtland that the claim M of E. A. Branch in the amount of X125.00 for 27 days labor as Foreman during the month of June, be reconsidered. Boll Call: A1E,S: H. B. Kirtland, H. A. Gowman, John Chapek, i". Stover. NOES: L. F. Sinsheimer. It was moved by H. A. Gowman and seconded by H. B. Kirtland that E. A. Branch be paid at the rate of w3.00 per day for the actual number of days he worked during the month of June. The motion carried. It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by H. A. Gorman that E. A. Branch 1 berdiseharged from the. employ of the City of San Luis Obispo in any capacity. Roll Call: AYES: H. B. Kirtland, H. A. Gowman, John Chapek, W. M. Stover. NOES: L. F. Sinsheimer. On motion of L. F. Sinsheimer seconded by H. B. Kirtland, Commissioner of Supplies, John Chapek was empowered to dispose of about 400,or 500 ft. of 10" 11" 12" well casing owned by the City. On motion of H. B._Kirtland seconded by H. A.
