Gowmian, John �'hapek and Mayor Stover. Absent, L. F. Sinsheimer, who-came in after roll call. Q The following building permits were received: J. J. Andre, Block 61,-Brick and Corrugated Iron Bldg. Cost '3000.00 City Board of Education, Block 11, Central Addition, Corrugated Iron Addition to shed, Cost 563.00 I.irs. Idargaret Ott, Lot 7 Block 172 Dallidet Addition, Repairs to Residence and addition of two bath rooms,. cost 100.00 On notion of H. B. Zirtland seconded by John Chapek the -permits were granted. Application received from Laura W. Wolf for sewer connection on Palm St. between Osos and:Santa Rosa St.; also from John 1% Bello for permit to open ditch on Yonterey St. between Brozd and Ilipomo St. for-the pur_oose of making sewer connection. On motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. Kirtland the applications were granted. The application of :7. E. Smith for a license for Lunch Counter, was re- (erred to the Commissioner of -Public Healt:a and Safety on motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek. The :oetition of Phil George for a transfer of his lodging house license to 1rs. L. Hedden, the same having been referred for the usual investigation, was granted upom notion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. B. Kirtland. The epplication of Z;!r s. B. Clapp for permission to conduct a Lodging house at 985 Chorro St. same having been referred for investigation, was ordered granted upon motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek. The report of the City Clerk for the month of June was received and ordered filed on motion of H. A. Gorman seconded by H. B. Kirtland. It was moved by H. B. Kirtland and seconded by H. A. Lac Lean eras present and filed his report on the audit of the books of the various city officials covering the Period from June lst, 1915 to Llay 31st, 1917. It was moved by H. B. Kirtland and seconded by John Cha_rek that the re- port be received and-filed. The matter in re the disposal of garbage was again brought up but left over until the next meeting. 34"
