Gowman, L.F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek," .Y. Stover. Absent, None. The purpose of the meeting was to take action relative to the option held by the (` City of San Luis Obispo to purchase certain real property known ?':.s and called the City Farm for which bonds had this day been voted. It was moved by L.F. Sinsheimer and seconded by H.E. Kirtland that the option be � exercised and that � 18,000.00 be placed with the Union National Bank until such time as . W.F. 1.7ood , owner of the property, delivers the Deed. ROLL CALL: Ayes: H.E. Kirtland, H.A. Gowman, L.F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, W.I.I. Stover, Noes None. Absent: None. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, W. M. Stover Absent, H. B. Kirtland The mintites of Oct. 15th, 18th, 22nd,-:.29th and 30th were read and approved as read. Th•e following applications for permits to build were received and granted on motion of John Chapek seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer. I"', T. Reid, Lot 1 Block 12, Central Addn. Frame Dwelling, Cost $3300.00 Louisa Lanscioni, Lot 1 -2, Block 86 Brick 'Narehouse, Cost 700.00 The following applications for sewer connections were granted on motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer. M. T. Souza - Christian Ave. between Victoria & Broad Sts. Louise Thomas a S. Broad St. between Christian & Alexander St, Domenice->Rodari:- Alfonso St. between Victoria and .Broad St. The application of M. J. Castro for license to conduct a livery and feed stable at 977 Higuera was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for in- vestigation. The following applications for permits to place curbing and gutters were recei,,&ed: Catherine Flynn - 75 ft. cement curbing & gutter on South side Buchon St. between Nipomo and Beach St. Lot 3 Block 59 Catherine Flynn - 138 ft. cement curbing & gutter on the west side of Nipomo St. between Buchon & Islay St. Lot 3 Block 59 Episcopal Church - 155 ft. cement curbing on the East side of Nipomo St. between Pismo and Pacific Sts. Lot 12, Block 2 Episcopal Church - 119 ft. cement curbing on the north side of Pismo St. between Nipomo and Broad St. Tot 12, Block 2 Dennis Filliponi - 50 ft. cement curbing and gutter on the north side of Palm St. between Chorro and Morro St. Lot 6 Block 15. Flora Goldtree - 83 ft. cement curbing and gutter on the north side of Palrp St. be- tweenlChorro and Morro St. Lot 5 Block 15 On motion of John Chapek seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer the above applications were granted. The reports of Police Judge W. T. Shipsey, City Collector, Agnes M. Lee and Pound ?aster Chas. Bowden for the month of October were received and ordered filed on motion of H. A. Gorman seconded by John Chapek. The following list of licenses were reported for cancellation: 110. 351 J. W. Agency 1.25 585 - C. E. Love Taxicab 3.00 47.75 On motion of L. F. Sinsheimer seconded by H. A. Gowman the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Finance and Revenue for investigation. The application of Condy Sada for a Taxicab license which had been referred for investigation_ was granted upon motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek. The bills for the month of October were read and on motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer were.ordered paid. On motion the Council then proceoded to canvas the returns of the special election held in this City on the. 30th day of October, 1917, at which was submitted the proposition of incurring a debt of said city and bonding the said City for the acquisition and im- provement of the "City Farm ", and found the result to be as follows: Total number of voters voting at such election 560 Bonding for City Farm, Yes 537 Bonding for City Farm, No 23 The vote cast in the respective precincts follows: IIo 1 - (3 & 4 consolidated ) Yes, 78 - No, 5 No 2 - (112 & 9 " ) It 178 - " 8 So 3 - (596 & 7 " ) if 192 - " 6 No 4- (8 &10 " ) " 89 - 4 537 - 23 The Council found and declared that said proposition had carried, having received more than two thirds of all the votes cast at such election. On motion of H. A. i Gowman seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer it was ordered that the canvas of the returns of said election and the finding of said Council be entered upon the minutes of said Council. Resolution No. 94 (New Series) Declaring and Finding that the proposition of incurring a Bonded Debt for the acquisition and improvement of certain Real Property submitted to the qualified voters of the City on October 30th,1917, received the votes ,i of two thirds of all the voters voting at such election and carried, was introduced and adopted on motion of L.-J, Sinsheimer seconded by John Chapek, by the following vote: ROLL CALL: 1 Ayes: H. A. Gowman, L. F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, 1.7. IA. Stover Hoes: None Absent: H. N. Kirtland. Relative to cartain Peal Estate dealers refusing to pay City license, the City Attorney gave as his opinion that said parties were legally liable for such, license and that he would take.; the matter up with them. Commissioner Chapek presented a map showing the location of lights to be placed under the new street lighting system. it was moved by John Chapek and C seconded by E. A. Gowman that the said map be ad-opted as the official map for placing street lights. ROLL CALL Ayes: E. A. Gowman, John Chapek, 101. M. Stover, Noes: None Absent E. B. Kirtland. L. F. Sinsheimer declined to vote. On motion of John Chapek seconded by E. &. Gowman the meeting adjourned to Ionday, Nov. 12th at 7 :30 P. M. ROLL CALL: Ayes: H. A. Gowman, L. F.
