Cor.,issioner GociTan stated that the Fire Llarm System was in bad shape. and
suggested that he be authorised to repair the same. Upon motion of H.B. Lirtland
seconded by John Chapek the Commissioner was .empowered to reconstruct the System as
he sees fit.
it was moved by H.B. Kirtland and seconded by L.A. Gowman to adjourn to Monday
Jan 14th at 7 :50

Council met in adjourned session with Mayor Stover pr6siding.

v letter from F. Lusardi called the attention of the Council to the fact
that certain lights on the South side of the City were out of commission.

of the union National and.Commercial Bank , respectively, was receive,3 informing the
Council that the local banks were ready and willing . to take up the Bonds to.be issued
for the paving of Marsh_ :,;_t., excepting certain frontages and under the condition..
that the Bonds bear interest at the rate of eight percent , payable annually.
The City Attorney advised.that it was his opinion that the Council hhad the
authority inder the powers given it by the General Lads of the :hate to contribute
to the organization in this City known as the " Home Guards ".
U,aude n. Clifford petitioned the Council to empower 'he Cit;; Clerk to cancel
certain ta.t sales on Lots 1 -2 of Block 4 in 3uena 9i,3ta._,"_ddition. The matter was
referred to the Commissioner of ^finance and Hevenae and the City Attorney.
The Leggitt Advertising Company filed application for - r,ermission to remove
bill board from B. Bassi's property, lJonterey and Toro Street, to Lot G Block 24 ,
omned by A. Green and L. Galewsky.
On motion of H.B..Eirtland seconded.by
John Chapek the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety
for investig &tion.

referred to Corrrlissioner Gowman.
