HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/04/1918City Hall, Monday, I.4ch. 4th.1918- 7;30 P.I4. Council met in regular session. Mayor Stover presiding. ROLL CALL: Present, H.B. Kirtland, H.Ae� Gowman, L.F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, W.M.Stover. Absent, None. The minutes of Feb. 18th and 25th were read.and approved as read. The resignation of W.T. Shipsey, as Police Judge of the City of Sm Luis Obispo, was received and accepted on motion of H.A.Gowman seconded by John Chapek, the same to take effect Lich. 15th . The application of Ernest Maggi for permit to remove a house from corner of Palm and Chorro Street to lot 9 block 67 was granted upon motion of L.F. Sinsheimer seconded by H.A. Gowman, The report of. Police Judge W.T. Shipsey and City Collector Agnes ivi. Lee for the month of.February were received and ordered filed on motion of John Chapek seconded by H.B. Kirtland. A statement from the City Treasurer in re amount of money received and disbursed for the month of February , was received and ordered filed on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek. John Pedrizetti petitioned the Council to transfer his interest in the license held by P. Pedrizetti and John Pedrizetti to Joe Idoranda; R.H. Haver requested that his interest in the liceases issued.in the name of Haver and Kenyon be transferred to H.L.Kenyon. On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek the petitions were referred to the pommiEsioner of Public Health and Safety. The Midland Co. Public Serv. Corp'n applied for permit to open trenches in streds at the following named locations :. On Chorro Street at corner of Islay St, On Chorro Street between Pacific and Pismo. On Pismo Street between Talker and Carmel Street, and . On Idarsh Street between Broad and Garden St. On motion of L.F. Sinsheimer seconded by H.B. Kirtland the applications were granted. The claims against the City for the month of February were read and on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by L.F. Binsheimer, were ordered paid, subject to the approval of the heads of the departments. The matter of advertising for the legal printing was brought..up. The matter referred to the next meeting. It was moved by H.A. Gowman and seconded by John Chapek that R.W. Absent, done. It was moved by L.F. Sinsheimer and seconded by H.B. Kirtland that the Supt. of e4----4 �T"zo Streets and Supt. of ':later Department be allowed clerical assistance , not to exceed 25.00 per month , to continue at the pleasure of the Board. The motion carried. In re claim of Vigo Hansen for remuneration for Pumping right at Laguna, it vas moved by L.F. Sinsheimer and seconded by H.A. Gowman that 11r. Hansen be allowed $ 10.00 7i-"I� per month from Sept. 1915 to Jan. 1919--Payment to be made in full to July 1st. 1918, thereafter semi - annually-- subject to legal arrangements to be made by the City Attorney.
