A number of property owners on that street were present. T. A. Greenleaf
and Geo. A. Snyder made_ verbal protest against the work being. done at t;•iis time.
Following discussion of the matter,. it was moved by.H. A. Gowman and seconded by-
H. B. Kirtland that the protests of -T. A: Greenleaf and G. A. Snyder respectively
are and each of them is imsufficient and each of them is hereby overruled.and
_N�� denied; that the City Engineer furnish to the Council plans, specifications -and
estimates of the costs and expenses of the work and improvements described, mention-
ed or proposed in resolution No,,. 95. (New Series). of this City,- save_. that no specifi-
cations need. be furnished for. the curbs therein mentioned ,_ specifications for the.
same having been already adopted; that the City Attorney prepare and submit a.
resolution ordering the work mentio.ned,in. said resolution of intention No. 95 (N.S.)
Upon roll call the vote.-stood as follows:
AYES: H. B. Kirtland, H. A, Govpan, John Chapek, _W. b' I.. Stover....
NOES: L. F..Sinsheimer.
ABSENT: None, .
Mayor Stover called the - attention of the Council that- the waters of San
Luis Ooispo Creek were encroaching upon the Johnson property in lower Higuera St.
to such an extent that the sidewalk was endangered; that a..fence should be erected
for the protection of pedestrians. On ,motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by H. A.
Gowman the matter was referred to Commissioner Chapek with power to act.
On motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by H. A. •Gowman the. meeting adjourned.
