Council..met in adjourned session. LIayor Stover presiding.
ROLL CALL Present, H.A.Gowman,L.F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, W-1-1-Stover.
Absent , H.B. Kirtland.
A letter from the City Collector was read relative to the refusal of G.W. Long
to pay Real Estate license. The matter was referred to the Commissioner of
Finance and Revenue and the City Attorney on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by Jd)hn CITapek.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.A. Gowman the application of A.E. Ward for
permit to construct a frame shed in Block 61 at a cost of b 50.00 was ordered granted.
The application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation for - permit to
open trench on Sycamore Street between Toro and Santa Rosa Street was - granted upon
motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of Larch was received and ordered:
filed on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek.
.On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.A. Gowman the report of the Sound Master
for the month of Harch was received and ordered filed.
The applici3tions of Paul S. Roberts and B.la. Duncan for Taxicab license , which
were referred.at the last meeting, were granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by
John Chapek.
The application of the Leggitt.Poster Advertising Co.,for permit to erect 'a
bill board in block 8, which was laid over at the last meeting , was granted on motion
of H.A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek.
The claim of David Haugh in the amount of 17.76 for refund on Taxes- .
on account of 811'ar Veterans Exemption , was referred to the Commissioner of Finance and
Revenue and the City Attorney on motion-of John Chapek seconded by H.A. Gowman.
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek thB claim of the Snow Edanufactu3ting
Company , in the amount of 85.72 was ordered paid.
Resolution Ito. 97 ( New Series ) adopting " Specifications for San Luis Obispo
" Sewer Extension , Division H and instructing the City Clerk to advertise for bids in
accordance with said Specifications, was introduced and passed by the following vote:,
on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by.John Chapek.
Ayes, H.A. Gowman,.L.F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, u'l.Ij. Stover.
Noes, None. Absent, H.B. Kirtland.
As requested an Ordinance was presented by the City Attorney Regulating the
Iw� business of advertising by the distribution of Posters, Dodgers or advertisements of any
kind, prohibiting the distribution thereof in certain places in the -.City of San Luis Obispo
and providing a penalty for ..its violation. The matter was discussed and laid over
to the next meeting.
On motion of John Chapek. seconded by H.A. Gowman claims in the sum of 130.50,
salary for day laborers. employed by -the City of San Luis Obispo, were ordered paid.
On motion of John Chapek.seconded by H.A. Gowman the meeting adjourned.
