to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety on motion of H.B. 'lirt•land seconded by
John Chapek.
On motion of H.A. Gowm.an seconded by John Chapek the petition of the Union Oil Co.,
for permit to remove a Gasoline pump from the sidewalk at 647 Higaera Street to 1069
Ionterey Street eras granted.
The report of the City Attorney relative to the.facts_in re the agreement between
the City of San,iuis Obispo and the Southern pacific Company for the wale and exchange of
water was read and ordered filed.
The report of the Cite Clerk for thc month of August; thane of the City Treasurer,
City Collector and °olice Judge for the month of September and those of the Pound I;Iaster
for the months of august and September were received and ordered filed on motion of
. H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. I•_irtland.
1 An order was received from the Board of Fish and Game Commissioners , that the
.City of San Luis Obispo provide a durable and efficient Fish ';:ay, in the San Buis Obispo
Creek at the Iuipomo Street Bridge. On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by F.B. Firtland
`) the matter was referred to Commissioner Chapek with rower. to act.
Representatives of the Home Guard appeared in behalf of the municipal Band and
requested that the Council increase their contribution to that organization by $ 100.00
per month. The matter was laid over.
The Claims a .gainst the '�ity for the month of September were read and on motion of
H.A. Gowman seconder by i..3. Virtland ,!sere ordered paid with the exception of a cie-im of
W.F.Cook in the amount of � 17.25 , expense incurred in re fumigating premises of G.H. I:?oore.
On motion of `:.3. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek the meeting aa,ourned to
Monday October 14th at 7 :30 P.M.

The meeting was called for the purpose of naming
two members of the
Board of Health and Commissioner owman recommended the ar-uointment of Dr. L.T. ::'ade
and ?.D. Swrorthout.
t was moved. by _?.?. _i rtland and seconded by ? . z+ < Sinsheinler that the above
mentioned gentlemen be appointed members of the Board of Health. The motion carried
and it was so ordered .
