Council met in special called session for the purpose of transacting such
business as properly carr:e before it.

Claims against the City for the month of October were ordered -,aid on motion
of H.". Cowman seconded by John Chapek.

The minutes of Oct.2lst, 28th2 29th and 30th and Eov 4th were read and
approved as read.
The application of Dane : ?. Forbes for permit to remove a building from Lot 1
Koc- 182 to lot 10 Block 177 and remodel the same was ordered granted on motion of
John Chapek seconded by H.B. _irtland.
On motion of _.A. Gow -man seconded by John Chapek,the Santa I.iaria Gas ?• hover Co.,
were granted permit to open.streets at the following named locations, to wit ;
On Toro. Street between 11onterey and Palm Street,
Can 1•iipomo Street at the corner of Pacific Street and on Pacific Street
between idipomo and Broad Street.
On motion of H.B. '-�irtland seconded by John Chapek the Eidland Counties Public

Service Corporation were granted permit to open ditch on Chorro Street between !:Iarsh and
P, -cific Streets.
On motion of H.P. ✓irtland seconded by ii. .L. 3owm= the report of the
City Collector for the month of October was received and ordered filed.
On Motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by H.E. Kirtland the r. eport of the Police
Jude for the month of October was received and filed.

Idaster for the month of October was received and filed.
The application of S. Zegar for Taxicab license was granted on motion of
-.A. Cowman seconded by H.B. :Kirtland.
The applications of T. . Kuro :.awa and Joseph 'rtilson for license for lodging
house which had been referred at previous meetings , were ordered granted on motion
of -& Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland.
