Council met in regular session, Mayor Stover presiding.
Present , H.P. Kirtland , H.A.Gowman., WoMe Stover.
Absent , L.F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek.
The minutes of January .6th, 15th and 18th were read and approved as read.
On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by.H.A. Gowman the following applications
for permit to build were ordered grantedi
L.C. Porter - Lot 5 Block 5 Weills Adda , Store, Room Cost 25.00
Wm. Pfeiffer - Lot 2 Block 121, Frame Residence , Cost $ 1200.00.
The application of Wm. Pnearo for .Sewer connection on Santa Rosa Street between
Olive and Montalban Street was granted on motion of H.A.Gowman seconded by,H.B. Kirtland.
The applications of Y.A. Hobbins for Taxicab, Joseph Wilson for Lodging House
and J.D. Thompson for Cigar Store were referred to the Commissioner of Public health
and Safety on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by H.A. Gowman.
On motion of H.B.. Kirtland seconded by H.A. . Gowman the petition of C. Van Proyen
for permit to place an electric sign at the St. James Billiard Parlors was referred to
Commissioner Gowman with power to act.
A petition was received requesting a transfer of the Retail Liquor License. of
Price and Ghigliotti to Ed., Martin. . Matter referred. to Commissioner Gowman on
motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by H.A. Gowman.
The report of the City Clerkfor the mont)Z of December was received and ordered
filed on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by H.A. Gowman.

Chapek and the City. ngimeer with power to act.
The report of the Community Nurse , Miss Linna G. Richardson , for the month
ending Jan.10th 1919, was filed. She reported total number of calls made 191;
Individual patients visited 132; Patients having no Doctor in attendance 6;.
Fatal oases 4. On motion of. H.B. Kirtland seconded'-by H.A. Gowman the report
was received and ordered filed.
On motion of H.B.. Kirtland seconded by H.A. . Gowman it was ordered that the policy
with the State Compensation Insuranse Fund for.the insurance of City Employees , be renewed.
