Council met in regular session, Mayor Stover presiding.
Present, H.B. Kirtland, H.A. Gowmwn, L.F. Sinsheimer, W.M. Stover.
Absent, John Chapek.
The minutes of January: 20th and 27th.were. read and approved as read...
A petition requesting the grading and graveling of Mill Street between Grove Street
and Grand Avenue was presented and referred on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by
H.A. Gowman , to Commissioner Chapek and St. Supt. W,B. Burch with instructions to proceed
with the work as soon as convenient.
The following applications far permit to. build were received and ordered granted
on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by H.A. Gowman.
Pacifico Mazza - Lots 1 -2 Block 15 Buena Vista Addn, Frame Residence Cost $ 600.00
R.L. Bird - Lot 3 Block 1 Frame Garage Cost 75.00
Carrie F, Angel- Lot 9 Bloc1j89 - " " " 60.00
James J. Maino - Lot 3 Block 9 - Central Add, Frame Residence. Cost $:2000:00
R.S. Aston - Lot 7 -8 Block 180 Ingleside Tract -.Frame Residence Cost $ 1800.00
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland , Peter Soto and Mrs Geo.. Gingg
were granted permit to lay 150 feet of park sidewalk on the, North side.of. Pacific Street
in front of Lot 2 Block 3.
The application of James J Maino for Sewer connection on Higuera Street between
Essex and Johnson Street granted on motion off H.B. Kirtland seconded by H.A. Gowman.
The applications of Louis Carriere for Restaurant , . H:.Ovehdale.for Lodging
House , B.M. Duncan for Taxicab qnd the petition of Mrs R. Clapp for transfer of
lodging house license to Mrs, A.G. Former were referred to the Commissioner of Public
Health and Safety for investigation.
The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the month of January,received
and ordered filed on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland,

It was moved by H.A,.Gowman and seconded by.H.B. Kirtland that the applications
of Joseph ['Filson for lodging house license, W.A. Hobbins for Taxicab, J.D. Thompson fpr
Cigar Store and the petition of Price & Ghigliotti for transfer of Retail Liquor liters e
to Ed. Martin all of which had been referred for investigation , be granted.
A formal Resolution permitting Joseph Wilson and Garrett Hansen to operate a
Motor Car stage line between the City of San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande and intermediatm

The City Engineer presented a plat of the assessment district of the proposed
Storm Drains and there was general discussion in re the matter of the Marsh Street
J� paving The City Attorney and City Engineer were instructed th have all data
ready for Monday Feb 10th when the matter would be again taken up.
