Council met in regular session,.Mayor Stover presiding.
Present: H. B. Kirtland, L. F. Sinsheimer, ,john Chapek, 1V. M. Stover.
Absent: H. A. Gowman.
The minutes of April 7th and 10th were read and approved.
Mr. C. Anholm, ors behalf of the local Danish Lodges, addressed the Council.
He stated that the Danish Lodge Dania of California. and the Ladies' Danish Lodge
Da.nnebrog of California are holding their annual convention at Modesto this week.
He requested that the Council send them an invitation to hold their Grand Session
in the City of San Luis Obispo in 1920.
The following motion was made by L. F. Sinsheimer, duly seconded and unanimously
carried:
That an invitation be extended to the two Lodges, and that the Mayor be and
he is hereby requested to sign and forward a copy of said invitation to the Secretaries
of the two Lodges at Modesto, and that a copy of same also be spread on the minutes.
Following are copies of the letters sent:

Dear Sir: The Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, California., extends to your

The Reports of the City Clerk for the month of March, and.Pound Master for
the months of February and March were received and ordered filed,on motion of
H. B. Kirtland, seconded by John Chapek.

On motion of John Chapek, seconded by H. B. Kirtland, the following applications
for permits to build were ordered granted;
c V. Feliz Lot 2 Block 35 Addition of room 60.00
Application of the Midlands Counties Publie Service Corp'n for removing old poles
and setting new ones was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation
on motion of L. F. Sinsheimer, seconded by H. B. Kirtland.
On motion of H. B. Kirtland, seconded by John Chapek, the petition for extension
of 4later mains from Hathway Ave and Stafford Street to Kentucky Ave was referred to
Commissioner of Public Works and the City Engineer.
On account of the absence of Commissioner H. A. Gowman the Application for Taxi -cab
License of S. Zegar was laid over until next meeting.
The labor bills were ordered paid on motion of John Chapek, seconded by H. B. Kirtland.
On motion of John Chapek, seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer the meeting adjourned,
