The first matter taken up was the approval by the Council of the Bond of Arlayor -eldct
L.F. Sinsheimer. It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by H.B. Kirtland that the
bond of I.F. Sinsheimer,, as Mayor.be approved. The motion carried and it.was so ordered.
11r. Sinsheimer then too}: his seat as P:Iayor. of ,the ,City of San Luis Obispo, and in
turn approved the bonds of H.A. Gowman and James Piper as Councilmen and Callie Al. John
as City Clerk.
On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by James Piper , H.A. Gowman was placed in
nomination for vice president of the Council and upon roll call was unanimously elected
to that offiae,
It was moved by H.A. Govnan and seconded by H.B. Kirtland that all appointive
offices be declared vacant, to take effect June 1st. The motion carried.and it
was so ordered.
On motion Of H.B. Kirtland seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned.

Council met in regular session with Ifayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present , H.B. Kirtland, H.A. Gowman, James Piper, John Chapek, L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent, Alone.
The minutes of P;iay 5th ,12th and 15th were read and approved as read.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper the application of Belle Lebo
1 for permit to build a garage on Lot 16 Block 3 Imperial Addition was granted.
An application waU filed by "dilliam B,Whiteside for permit to operate a Motor
light freight and passenger line between the Cities of Lemoore and San Lui; Obispo ,and
requesting that a date-for the hearing of the -.aid application be set. It was moved
by H.B. Kirtland and seconded by H.A. Gowman that the hearing of the above apnlication
be Le-,, for June second at 7:30 P._.J., and that due ;notice be given by publication.
The motion carried.
Ani-ar_plication was received from Joe Genardini for :permit to operate an
;automobile freight line between the City of San Luio Obispo. and Morro and requesting
that date for 'rearing be set. It was moved by H.A. Gowman and seconded by
H.B. Kirtland that hearing of the above application be set for June second .at.7 :30 P.14.1
and that due notice of same be given by publication. p,iotion carried.

The petition of the Pickwick Stage Co., for permit to plwce a sign in front of
that Companys office at 876 ?Monterey St., was granted on motion of H.�. Gewman
seconded by H.3..= irtland.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.B. Hirtland the labor .bi.11s were
ordered paid.
The matter of designating commissioners for the various departments o�;the
City government was taken up.

For Commissioner. of Finance and Revenue ,James Piper nominated Dr. H.B.. !irtland
and upon roll call Dr. Iirtland was unanimously designated Commissioner. of
Finance and Revenue.
