Chapek and seconded by James Piper that the hearing of
the above application be set for I'.londay July 7th at 7;30 P.y., and that due notice
be given by publication.
Two petitions were filed requesting that Street work be done on Garden
Street between Islay and Leff Streets and on Garden Street between Buchon and
Islay Street.
It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by James Piper that the petitions
be received and filed and that the Public Works Department be empowered to proceed
with the work.
It was moved by James Piper.and seconded by John Cc.hnek that the application
Of Idrs L.M. Stephens for transfer of Lodging House , Restaurant and Restaurant
Liquor license to Joseph Eorales be granted. The motion carried and it was so ordered.
Upon the recommendation of Commissioner Gowman , it wc.s moved by
John Chapek and seconded by James Piper that the applications,--for the regular quarterly
licenses be granted with the exception of the Liquor licenses -- which were ordered filed.
The motion carried and it was so ordered.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned to
I7onday , June 30th at 7;30
