City Hall, Monday Oct. 6th 1919. 7:30 P. M.
City Council met in regular session, Magor,L. F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present: H. B. Kirtland, James Piper, John Chapek, L. F. Sinshe -imer,
Absent: H..A, Gowman.
The minutes of Sept. 15th, 22nd and 29th were read and on motion of James Piper
seconded by H. B. Kirtland-, were approved as read.
A communication was received from D. M. Meredith requesting that the baxbed wire
fe=es_.aicross Lizzie Street be removed, that he might have access-to his property- -Lot 6,
Piedmont Tract. On motion of James Piper, seconded by H. B. Kirtland, the matter was
referred to the City Attorney for investigation and report.
The communication of the Automobile Club of Southern California, relative. to the
eTection of Speed Warning Signs was referred to the Commissioner of Publics Health. aznd Saxfety
with power to mct, on motion of H. B. Kirtland, seconded by James Piper.
The:following applications for permit to build were ordered granted on motion of
James Piper, seconded by H. B. Kirtland:

A.. petition was received from P. Pedrizetti and J. Moranda requesting that the=ir
Restaurant Licensa be transferred to F.. W. Mitchell. On motion of H. B. Kirtland,
seconded by John Charpak, the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Public:Heaalth and
Smarty for investigation and report.
On motion of H. B. Kirtland, seconded by James Piper, the petition of Phil George.
for transfer of Restaurant LicenseFtft;Harry Frank, was referred to Commissioner Gowman for
invdastigation and report.
The petition of L. C. Be-31for permit to place an electric sign at the corner of
Monterey and Chorro Streets for the Hotel Bellman, was referred to Commissioner Gowman, on
motion of John Chapek, seconded by James Piper.
On motion of H. B. Kirtland, seconded by John Chapek, the application of A. 1.
Hubbard for License for Taxi -cab, was referred to the Commissioner of Public. - Health and
Safety.
It was moveek by H. B. Kirtland, seconded by James Piper, that the Reports of the
City Clerk, City Treasurer, City Collector, Police Judgel and Pound Master for the month of
September, be received and placed on file, The motion carried.
The applications of Martin Bosnyak and Joe Worn=k for License for Taxi -cab and
Garage, respectively, were laid over to the next meeting for report by Commissioner of
Publio. Health and Safety.
