On motion of James Piper, seconded by John Chapa:k, the application of the Home
Laundry Co. for License for Laundry, was again deferred to the next regular meeting.
It was moved by James Piper and seconded by John Chapek, that the claims against
the City for the month of September be paid. Motion carried and it was so ordered.
On motion of James Piper, seconded by H. B. Kirtland, the meeting adjourned to
Monday, Oct. 13th, 1919 at 7':30' P. M.

City Counsil met in regular session, Commissioner E.A.Gowman presiding.
Present: H.B.Kirtland, H.A.Gowman, James Piper, John Chapek.
Absent: L.F.Sinsheimer.
The minutes of Oct.6th. and 13th. were read and approved as read.
The following applications for permits to build viere ordered granted on
motion of H.B.Kirtland seconded by John Chapek:

The petitions of D.S.Rosa and M.Bosnyak for permit to placeia : .7ooden Taxicab
sign at 959 Monterey St. and that of L.Austin for permit to place an Electric Sign in
front of Austin's Confectionary, were referred to Commissioner Gowman for investigation
and report; on motion of H.E.Kirtland seconded by James Piper.
On motion of H.B.Kirtland seconded by James Piper the application of
S.A.Hubbard for license for Taxicab was granted.
The applications of Joe Womack and Martin Bosnyak for license for Garage
and Taxicab, respectively,were ordered granted on motion of H.B.Kirtland seconded by
James Piper.
