City Council met in regular session , Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : H.B. Kirtland;., H.A. Gowman , James Piper , John Chapek , L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
The minutes of Dec. lst. and 8th. were read and approved as read on motion of
James Piper seconded by John Chapek.
The following applications for permit to build were ordered granted on motion
of John Chapek seconded by James Piper.

.On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.A.,Gowman , J.P. Johnson was granted
permit for sewer connection on Chorro Street between Upham and High St.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper the Santa Maria Gas & Power Oo
were granted permit to open trenches on Monterey Street between Osos and Santa Rosa St
and on Pacific Street between Chorro and Mor-m Street.
The application of Manuel Herrera for permit to conduct a cigar store in
American Legion Hall was granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper.
The application of D.S. Roza for license for Taxicab was referred to the
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by
John Chapek.
It was moved by H.B. Kirtland , seconded by John Chapek and carried, that
the report of the City Clerk for the month of November be received and filed.
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek permit was granted
Forrest E. Brown to place an Electric Sign at 888 Monterey Street.
Action on the application of the Home Laundry Company for license for
Laundry was again deferred.
The applications.for-.the regular quarterly licenses viere presented.and it
was moved by H.B. Kirtland and seconded by John Chapek that all applications for
licenses,other than Liquor licenses , be referred to the Commissioner of
Public Health and Safety for investigation and report. The motion carried.
On motior. of John Chapek seconded by H.B. Kirtland the applications for
liquor licenses were ordered filed.
The matter relative to the construction of a bridge over San Luis Creek at
the Neil Cook place :vas discussed. Same referred to Commissioners :-John Chapek
and James Piper for report at next meeting.
Matter relative to Telephone Franchise laid over to next meeting..
Labor bills were ordered paid on motion of John Chapek seconded by Jas. .Piper.

Dear Sir : At .a meeting of citizens held here-.last evening , expression was given
in the form of resolution B to the sense of appreciation which the coast people
feel for, the splendid effort being made by the people of San Luis Obispo on behalf
work the Good Roads Movement. The ork that they are doing augurs strongly for the
successful outcome of next Tuesday's election.
The interests of our two localities in the outcome of this election are identica ;,
and it is particularly pleasing to the people of the Morth Coast section to realize
thatthe City of San Luis Obispo is so cordial and so united in the support of this issue.
It is our desire that there shall be given, through you, to the people of your
City , an expression_ of the high estimate which the people of Cambria are placing on
San Luis Obispo's superb effort. Very Truly Yours,
