The petition of J.A. Renetzky for permit to remove an electric sign from
770 Higuera St. to the Carrisa Building was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by
H.B. Kirtland.
The following applications for permit'to build were received and ordered

protesting against the Council._, granting a FranchiW to The Pacific. Telephone _ and:
Telegraph Cpmpany,:unless..the: same.- contained_a labor: clause, whereby,-in. case of strikes,
the same to be arbitrated by local people. On motion of James Piper seconded by
H.B. Kirtland the petitions were ordered filed.
The matter of the appointment of a Board of Health , the application of
the Brown Amuse-rent Co, for license,and the matter of further consideration and revision
of the license ordinance were left over to zvednesday evening , January 29th.
On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned
to Tednesday. January 28th., at 7:30 P.tvi.
