City Council met in regular session:; Ll:ayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present H.E. Kirtland, H.A. Gowman, James Piper, John Chapek, L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent None.
' The minutes of Harch 15th and 24th were read and on motion of James Piper
seconded by John Chapek were approved as read.
Communication from War Department in re adverse report on Improvement of
Yorro Bay was ordered filed on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek.

on the south side'of Pismo Street between Garden and Chorro Street on motion :f
John Chapek seconded by James Piper, also the application of Leonard Thurlow for 113 feet
of five foot park side-.Jalk on the North side of Church street between Chorro and Morro St.
The petition of the Liberty Cafe for per!cit to place an electric sign at
997 lAonterey Street -ras granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.B. I•:irtland the Santa Maria Gas &
Power Company was granted permit to open trench on Islay street betvVeen Nipomo and
Broad Street.
The application of I.F. Rogers for sewer connection on Peach Street between
Osos and Santa Rosa Street was granted on :notion of John Chapek seconded By James Piper.
On motion of H.A. Goaaman seconded. by John Chapek the application of
Rongje Uaancvich for license for Fortune Telling was granted
The petition of C.A. I;Iaino for permit to place a. Road Sign at the junction
of Higuera end French Street , which was referred at the last meeting, was again laid over
for further investi�- ation.
The application of John L.Rogers for license for Garage was granted on motion
'of H.A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek.
Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were granted on motion of
H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland.
The report of the City Clerk for the month of February and that of the City
Collector for the month of March were received and ordered filed on motion of
H.B. Kirtland seconded by James Piper .
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.B. Kirtland the report of-Geo. Story
on the proposed new wall to be built by James Scettrini in San Luis Obispo Creek, was
accepted and ordered placed on file.
It was. moved by H.B. Kirtland and seconded by., 1..A, Gv, ;rr ,n that the Mayor
appoint a committee of five citizens to interview property owners on Morterey , Chorro
and Higuera Streets, following the line of the State Hio-hwayfrom Santa Rosa Street to
,Tipomo Street , to ascertain their willingness to sign up for the caving of said streets

from the line of the Highway paving-.toothe curb line. The motion carried.
Claims against the City for the month of :,Earth were ordered paid on motion
of H.A. Gowman seconded by N.B. Kirtland.
