City Hall, Monday.,'. March .14th :1921 - 7:30 P.M-
City Council met in adjourned session; Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer peesiding.
Present H.B.Kirtland, James Piper , John Chapek, L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent H.A. Gowaan.
The application of R.P. Gerdes for permit to build a garage on Lot 12-Block 25
�f was granted on motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper the application of J.W. Johnson
for permit to connect with Sewer on Church Street between Garden and Chorro Street Was granted.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James�Piper the Santa Maria Gas Company was
granted permit to open trenches on Garden Street between Church and Upham Street and on
Chorro Street between Upham and High Steeet.
The Midland Counties Public Service Corporation was permitted to set pole on
Higuera Street between Santa Rosa and Osos Street , on motion of James Piper seconded by
John Chapek.
The petition requesting that a Stre:;t light be installed at the corner of King
and Branch Street__was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works on motion of James Piper
seconded by H.B. Kittland , as was also the petition for the grading and graveling of
Monterey Street between Chorro and Nipomo Street.
The report of the City Clerk for the month of February was received and ordered
filed on motion of James Piper seconded by John Chapek.
The applications for the regular quarterly business licenses were presented and referred
to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of
H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of Ja mes Piper seconded by John Chapek , Street Paving bills
were ordered paid.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned to Wednesday,
March 16th at 7:30 P.M.

Noes : None.
Absent : H.A. Gowman.
