term of four years respectively was read,
adopted and.passed to print , on motion
of James
Piper seconded by H.A. Gowman-, by the
following Vote:
Ayes : H.A. Gowman, James Piper , John
Chapek ,
L.F. Sinsheimer.
Noes : None.
Absent : H.B. Kirtland.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.A. Gowman the petition of property owners

for the paving of Chorro Street between
Higuera and Marsh Street was granted , subject to the
yr. approval of the Council of the manner in which said work shall be done.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned.

City Council met in regular session - Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : H.B. Kirtland , H.A. Gowman , James Piper , John Chapek, L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
The minutes of March 7th, 14th., and 16th. were read and approved as read
on motion of James Piper seconded by H.B. Kirtland.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on.motion of
John Ckapek seconded by H.E. Kirtland:
G Cynthia Foxen- Lot g Blook 106 Murray & Church Addn,Repairs and additions Cost $2000:00
M.F. Dyer -- Lot 13 Block 3 Mc Brides Tract Repairs Cost $ 12000.00
The application of Liberty Cafe for license for Soft Drinks was referred
to Commissioner H.A.. Gvvman on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by James Piper , as was
alos the application of. J.E. Bonetti for license for Taxicab.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of February was received
and ordered filed on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by James Piper the merchandising Bond of
J.H. Lamont was ordered cancelled , he having been engaged in the merchandising business
for a period of six continuous months. '
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland the applications for the
regular quarterly business licenses were ordered granted.
Bills were ordered paid on motion of James Piper seconded by John Chapek
In re the pavement of Osos Street,Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer appointed the
