City Hall , Monday, October 3d 1921 - 7:30 P.M.
City Council met in .regular session -- Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : W.B. Martin , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper , L.F.. Sinsheimer.
Absent H.A. Gavman.
The minutes of September 19th and 26th were read and approved as read on
motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
On motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin the Ladies Auxiliary of the
Disabled Veterans of the Great War were granted permit to hold a Theatrical entertainment -
on or about October 19th at Corona Hall.
On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the following applications
for permit to build were granted
Eliza Hampton - Block 46 Residence Cost. 1000.00
G.S. Newell - Residence Lot 6 Block 99 Cost 5000.00
Skiles and Mathews- Residence Lot 3 Block 119 Reeds Addn Cost 1000.00

M.H. Stephens granted permit to grade 225 feet on South side High Street between Ward and
Story Streets , on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by James Piper:.
The report of the City Collector for the month of September received and ordered
filed on motion of JamesPiper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
C.H. Buck & Son were granted license for Cigars as a Sideline on motion of
James Piper seconded by Goe. W. Kilbern.
Application of Ida Ross for license for lodging house at corner of Higuera
and Morro Street again laid over.
Application of the Mid. Co. Pub. Serv. Corporation for permit to set Pole
and install anchor on Lawton Avenue between South Street and Funston Avenue, granted on
motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin.
In re Retaining Wall in Dana Street Commissioner James::Piper and
Geo. W. Kilbern appointed a committee to investigate and report to the Council at the
next meeting.
Ordinance No. 94 ( New Series) An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 76
( New Series ) by adding Section 244 so as to require architects to pay a license - was
finally passed on motion of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper, by the following vote
