City Council met in adjourned session -- :Councilman_ H.A. Gowman presiding.
Present : W.B. Martin , H.A. Gowman , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper.
Absent L.F. hinsheimer.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin: -
L.A. Stover -- Garage Block 24 Cost $ 200.00
Angeline M. Badger - Residence Block 44 " 800.00
C.R. Dana - Garage " 93 75.00
Allen T. Feeler - " " 110 " 100.00
C.H. Kamm Stock Room TM 23 " 250.00
Goe. P. Moffitt Repairs Block 3 Mc Brides Tract Cost 450.00

The following applications for permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were
granted on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern :
Geo. W. Ryan - 50 ft. 5 ft. park sidewalk on north side Toro Street between
Pismo and Buchon St; also curbing and gutter.
Geo. W. Reynolds - 100 ft. curbing on the east side Broad Street -•.at junction
of Santa Barbara Ave..
The application of C.E. Lee for license for lodging House at 103 Santa
Barbara Ave. was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety on motion of
Geo. I7. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin.
The petition of Geo. E. Gearing for transfer of license for Transfer
Business to H. Ramage was granted on motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
The following applications for sewer connections were granted on motion
of James Piner seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern:
Chas. Kelly - Pacific Street between Essex and Johnson Street.
Mrs. A. M. Badger - Monterey Street between Johnson and Ida Street.
In the latter application it is necessary to cross Highway to
reach main sewer and the application was granted with the
understanding that any necessary excavating be done at a depth
of._at�:leastr:fous -.fbt* under pavement.
The application of E.C. Childers for permit to connect two houses on one
sewer was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B.. Martin the Santa Maria Gas Cc
was granted permit to open trenches at the following locations :
On Nipomo Street between Buchon and Islay Street.
" Garden Street between Leff and Church Street
Applications of the Mid. Co. Pub. Serv. Corp'n # 30- 31 -32- and 3.3 for
permit to remove and reset poles, anchors,etc., were granted on motion of W.B. Martin
seconded by James Pipers

31 Mill Street between Osos and Ida Street.
32 Property Line between Islay and Leff & Broad & Moro Street
33 Beach Street between Buchon and Marsh Ste and on Marsh,
Carmel and Nipomo St.
The application of Paul A. Negrich for license for Pool Table at 1006
R.R. Ave. , was referred to the Com, of Public Health and Safety for investigation and
report on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. Fd. Kilbern.
Relative to the extension of Sewer on Chorro Street , it was moved by
James Piper and seconded by W.B. Martin and carried that the Commissioner of Public Works
investigate same and also be given power to act.
