Alvin R Kaiser appeared before the Board relative to the axtension of Sewer
in Phillips•Addition . It was moved by James Piper and seconded by W.B. Martin that
the matter be referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report
at the next meeting.
The application of Paul A. Negrich for license for Pool Table was granted on
motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin.
The application of D.S. Roza for license for Taxicab was granted on motion of
James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin.
Claims against the City for the month of November were ordered paid on motion
of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin.
Resolution No. 132 ( Ne:a Series ) , A Resolution Curtailing the use of
water for Irrigation purposes and extending the time of said durtailment was introduced
and adopted by the following vote:
Ayes : W.B. Martin , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper , L.F. Sinsheimer .
Noes : None.
Absent : H.A. Gowman.
It was moved by W.B. Martin and seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern that the Water
patrolmen be retained at the pleasure of the Council. Motion carried.
It was moved by Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by R.B. Martin and carried that the
Commissioner of Supplies be, and is hereby authorized to acquire a new Ford Automobile
for use in the Water Department.
On motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin the meeting ad¢ourned to
Monday, Dec. 12th.at 7:30 P.M.

Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.
The applications of the,-Union Oil Co for permit to install new pole on Pismo St.
Q4� between Osos and Santa Rosa Street and on Pismo Street at corner of Toro and Pismo Street
Zwere referred to the Commissioner of Public forks for report on motion of James Piper
seconded by W.B. Martin.
Applications of the Mid. Co. Pub. Serv.. Corp'n for permit to set poles and
anchors at the following named locations were referred.to the Commissioner of Public Works
on motion of W.B. a rtin seconded by James Piper

Peach Street.between Ida and Grove Street,
The application of R.C. Hoyt for Sewer connection on Higuera Street between
Essex and Johnson Street was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin.
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin the Santa Maria Gas Compan;
was permitted to open trenches at the following named locations , to wit :
On Santa Rpsa Street between Pill and Peach Street,
" Monterey Street between Johnson and Ida Street.
" Peach Street between Toro and Essex Street.
The applications for the regular quarterly licenses were received and referred
to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of
James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin.
The applications of John C. Mc Manus for license for Pool Table, Soft Drinks
and Cigars Sideline were granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper.
The petition of A.E. Brooking for transfer of licenses to E.R. Kaiser and
M.J. Brassill granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper.
The application of C.E. Lee for license for Lodging House at 103 Santa Barbara
Avenue granted on motion of H.A. Gorman seconded by W.B. ? Martin.
It was moved by Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin and carried that the
City Sewer be extended 350 feet on Grove Street between Mill and Peach Street.
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned.
