Absent-: H. A. Gowman.
The minutes of December 5th and 12th were read and approved as read on
mat-ion of James Piper, seconded by W. B. Martin.
On motion of W. B. Martin, seoonded by Geo W. Kilbern, the application of
Louise E. Gist for permit to build residence-.on Lot 64 Block 4, Werill's Addn, a -t a
cost of $600.00 was granted.
On motion of G" W. Kilbern, seconded by W. B. Martin, W. V. Scott was
permitted to build a reaidence in Block 12 of Central Addn at a cost of $3546.00.
On motion of W. B. Martin, seconded by James Piper, the application of
John C. Gibson for repairs to a building in Block 96 was referred to the Commissioner
of Public; Health and Saifety for report.
The application of Wilson L. Venton for permit to build a residence in
Block 1 Hathaway Addn, at a cost of'$3000.00, was granted on motion of James:Piper,
seconded by W. B. Martin, subject to the Council's tanking under coonsiderwtion, after
the first of the year, the matter of whether or not the builder should pay a Contractor's
license:.
The Reports of the e:ity Clerk and City Treasurer for the month of November
were received and ordered filed on motion of W. B. Martin, seconded by James Piper.
The follovring applications for permit to connect with the City Sewer were
granted, on motion of James Piper, seconded by W. B. Martin:
F. J..Bollinger - Marsh St., between Johnson and Ids; Sts.,
A. R. Kaiser -- Grove St., between Mill and Peach Sts.,
W. V. Soott - Pacific St., between Essex and Johnson Sts.,
Herman Kefel - Grove St., between Mill.and Peach Sts:
The application of the Santa Maria.Gas Co., for permit to open trench on
Morro St between P&aific and Pismo Sts., granted on motion of Gem W. Kilbern , seconded
by W. B. Martin.
It mas moved by Geo W. Kilbern and seconded by W. B. Martin, that the City
Engineer be instructed to surve -y for the extension of Peach Street Sewer, and estimate.

The application of H. N. Lindsay for permit to lazy 66 ft of full width
sidewalk, also curbing and gutter, on -the North side of Higuera St, between Essex and
Johnson Sts., was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and
report, on motion of James Piper, seconded by W. B. Martin.
License No. 945, issued to Dosie Van Matra, for Lodging House at 1129 Morro St
was ordered cancelled on motion of W. B. Martin, seconded by James Piper.
The applications for the regular Quarterly Licenses were ordered granted,
on motion of Jaimes Piper, seconded by W. B. Martin.
On motion of James Piper, seconded by W, B. Martin, the meeting adjourned.
