The matter of the revision of specifications for the construction of
sidewalks was taken up and referred to Commissioner James Piper and the City Engineer
for report.
On motion of Geo. W. Ki -lbern seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned
to Monday, January 23d at 7:30 P.M.

The reports of the City Clark and City Treasurer for the month of
December were received and ordered filed on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by
James Piper.
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by Janes Piper the arplication a)f
Mary 5. Bettencourt for license for Boarding House at 1169 Monterey Street was referred
to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.

In accordance with the opinion of the City Attorney the request of the
City Board of Education for transfer of $ 3,349.11 from the High School Fund to the
Common School Fund , and $ 309.60 from the.High School Fund to the Kindergarten School
Fund ; also, $ 2,000.00 from the Elementary School Fund to the Kindergarten School Fund
was granted on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by James Piper.
A communication from E. Mc Cluskey, betty . of the California Association
of Highway Patrolmen, read and ordered filed `cn motion of James Piper seconded by
Gao. W. Kilbern.
Relative to the license issued to D.E. Roza for Taxicab for the period -
July lat. to Dec 2/1st. 1921 - which was referred to the Council for cancellation.., It was
moved by James Piper and seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern that the matter be referred to the
Chief of Police for report at the next meeting.
The application of the Union Oil Company for permit to set poles on
Pismo Street between Osos and Santa Rosa Street and at the Corner of Pismo and Toro
were granted on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by James Piper.
Application. of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for permit to
move two poles on Monterey Street between Essex and Johnson Street was laid over to the
next meeting.
Application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation # 37 for
permit to replace pole on Essex Street between Higuera and Marsh Street granted on
motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by JamesPiper.
The application of A.P. Driscoll for license for Restaurant granted on
motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by James Piper the retition of
C.J. Weir for permit to place a sign at 742 Marsh Street was granted.
On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the claim of
?dark - Lally Co in the amount of $ 7,046.32 for consignment of Water Pipe , was ordered
raid subject to re- checking by the following vote:
